My original intention was to find a job in middle school, however the position I found was teaching a second grade inclusion class. I have also taught transition classes, regular second grade classes, as well as first grade. This is my eleventh year as librarian, which is a position that I absolutely love. I have a total of twenty-four years experience and all of it has been here at Mamie Martin. Needless to say, I just love this place.
I was born in Brookhaven in the old Silver Cross Nursing Home on North Jackson Street, which was Kings Daughter's Hospital at that time, and have lived here for most of my life. Mamie Martin is the first school that I attended, and I graduated from Brookhaven High School. I am married to the former Hyok Yo Kim of Anui, South Kyeongsung Province, South Korea. We are empty nesters, and do almost everything together. We enjoy traveling, trying new restaurants, and yard work, and I like to sit down with a good murder mystery, when time allows. We share our yard with a cat, Mundoo, which is Korean for "dumpling"
