All About The Principal

Welcome Little Panthers! 

My name is Ashley Davis and I'm so excited to be part of the Brookhaven School District!  I'm eager to begin my second school year as the Principal of Mamie Martin, it's truly an honor and a privilege to be part of such a wonderful family and school.

For 5 years, I was an Assistant Principal here at Mamie Martin. Previously, I was a classroom teacher for 8 years and have taught 5th Grade, 6th Grade, and Kindergarten. My husband is the Head Football Coach at Copiah-Lincoln CC. We have a daughter, Brooke who is a Fifth Grader at Lipsey Middle School, my son, Cannan, is a Second Grader at Mamie Martin, and my other son, Hayes, started at Mamie Martin this year in our Pre-K 3 program. 

At Mamie Martin, our staff does an incredible job of laying the foundation in literacy and math for our students.  We want all our students to succeed and we love watching them grow every year! We pride ourselves with collaborative planning, patience, and determination that allows the opportunity for all students to be successful. Our children are our priority, and we are committed to keeping them safe, as well as, preparing them for success. Our staff is more than effective in developing students that love learning and we continue to grow students into productive citizens, with excellent character.

I believe in building strong relationships with students, parents, and staff to foster a vibrant and inclusive school culture.

I'm honored to be part of such an amazing school district. As principal, I take pride in working with our teachers and students in creating the foundation of the Ole Brook traditions. I'm looking forward to another wonderful year and can't wait to see what it has in store for us!
