Dear Parents/ Guardians,
 
Although the last few days have been chaotic and, at times, somewhat unbelievable, please know that your child's safety and health are at the utmost importance to us at Mamie Martin.
 
I encourage you to continue to practice writing, math, and reading skills with your child.  It is important that they do not lose the skills they have worked so hard to learn.

Read and write simple sentences and identify the captial, pronoun I, and punctuation mark.
  • I see the big, brown dog.
  • The big, brown dog can run fast.
  • Will the big, brown dog run with me?
  • The big, brown dog and I will run.

Practice long vowels, "silent e" words. (make, Pete, nice, rope, cube)
Practice words that begin with qu (queen, quilt, quick)
 
Math skills: Practice writing, counting objects, and saying numbers 11-19.
Continue to practice adding and subtracting sums and differences 0-10. 
 
There are many online educational websites that are free or are offering free access during this time.
